College Campuses

One goal of the Tobacco Education Program is to assist local college campuses in establishing and enforcing policies that prohibit the use of tobacco products of any kind on their campuses.

Recent law passed by the State of California raises the minimum age to purchase, use, or possess tobacco products to 21. California and Alaska are the only two states in the nation so far that have established 21 as the minimum age.

This new law that became effective June 6, 2016 provides another compelling reason for our colleges to become 100% tobacco free.
