Marketing Plan

Approved by the Lake County Board of Supervisors in November 2011, the following document, the "Lake County Economic Development Strategic Marketing Plan," is focused on strategies designed to help increase and support visitation to Lake County, help attract tourism investment, grow the tourism industry, and increase the industry's economic impact in Lake County.

The plan was prepared by the Strategic Advisory Group in conjunction with local tourism industry stakeholders representing lodging establishments, restaurants, caterers, retailers, wineries and tasting rooms, events and attractions, tribal gaming, event venues, and local business associations.

Many thanks to the many local stakeholders who participated throughout the planning process, providing ideas and insights that helped inform and focus the recommendations in the plan.

Funding for this plan was provided by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Planning and Technical Assistance Grant from the State of California's Department of Housing and Community Development.

For questions about this plan, please contact the Lake County Marketing and Economic Development Program, a division of the County Administrative Office, at 707-263-2580.
