Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention

Meetings are held once a month on the third Thursday at 12:15 pm in conference Room C on the third floor of the County Courthouse.

The commissions are, in effect, an investigative and advisory part of the Superior Court. The Juvenile Justice Commission looks over children in the court system or children who are wards of the court. It also inspects Juvenile Hall and group homes where children have been detained. The commission looks into the complaints that are brought against the system and makes recommendations on the findings. Also responsible for trying to get prevention programs underway in our county.
