Overview

The purpose of this commission is to perform functions and responsibilities previously assigned to the museum advisory board, the cultural resource commission, and the heritage and historical commission: to act in an advisory capacity to the board of supervisors, public services director and museum curator relative to museum operations; to foster and promote the preservation of historical records; to make recommendations to the planning commission and board of supervisors on the suitability of proposed sites for designation on a registry of cultural sites; to submit an annual activity report to the board of supervisors
