Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen report filing is right for you:
- This is not an Emergency
- This incident occurred within the Lake County Sheriff's Departments jurisdiction (This means the incident/crime did NOT occur within the city limits of Lakeport or Clearlake nor in any other city or county)?
- There are No Known suspects?
- There are known suspects but the crime or incident occurred more than 5 days ago and there is no immediate threat to persons or property.
- This did not occur on a State Highway?
Upon completion of this report process you will:
- See the words: "Your online crime/incident report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete.
- Be given a report case number.
- Be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records.
- All cases filed using the Citizens Online crime/incident reporting system will be reviewed.
- Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
- Filing a false police report is a crime.
