CCW Qualification

All CCW applicants taking the Sheriff’s Office basic CCW course or renewal Course are required to pass the following:

A 30 question, multiple choice written exam with a passing score of 70% or better.

A CCW weapons qualification consisting of:
5 rounds at 10 yards in 30 seconds
5 rounds at 10 yards in 30 seconds
5 rounds at 5 yards in 20 seconds
5 rounds at 5 yards in 20 seconds
5 rounds at 1.5 yards (close retention) in 15 seconds

All five stages of the qualification will begin with the CCW property secured in a holster.  
All 25 rounds must be inside of the 14”x16” scoring box of a standard DOE-15 target to be considered a pass.
